Due to a scheduling SNAFU we need to move the clean up to March 7/8 weekend. Contact Tim if this puts your participation in jeapordy. We have a number of things to do and can use your help. Bring some work gloves and a strong back. Water at the complex is off till April 15th so we will NOT have a functioning bathroom. Mickey D's and the Chevron are close by. Watch your email and this thread for further updates.

Here's the official / real deal! We intend to meet at 9am at the track. Remember this is the Daylight Savings Time change weekend so don't forget to reset your clocks Sat night.
Tim had couple of Porta-Potties delivered today so we won't need make any mad dashes to Mickey D's!
Things we plan to knock out as of now includes a thorough clean up of everything inside of our facility fence including a tire barrier weed pull. The scale project continues to be a real priority as it needs to working prior to the first scheduled race in April so it's gonna get hit hard this weekend and the other "big project" is repainting all of the corner curbs. This will more than likely take Sat & Sunday to complete. Right now we will retain the green & white color scheme as that will make the job somewhat easier and not require as much touch up as would a complete color change. We passed our annual Facility Fire Inspection today but have a couple of small items to fix to make the AWH FD happy and the other items are mostly appearance spruce ups.
Bring some work gloves and wear old clothes especially if you are willing to sling some paint!

Well we hammered the Annual Track Clean up with the largest and most enthusiastic work crew I've ever seen at SKRA ! I'd like to thank every one of you that came out to help. The scale project took a large step forward and a big thank you goes out to Dave Reynolds from Sunset Speedway for his concrete expertise and willingness to help us out. We got the corner curbs all repainted and they look great. The tire barriers got a much needed realignment which will make mowing around them a whole lot easier. The main road tire barrier in addition to being realigned got a much needed weed chopping and clean out that will make future mowing, weed spraying and trash pickup an easier task. The crooked back gate info sign got reset in concrete and the potholes in the chicane corner and the front gate got filled. The appearance of our track took a big step UP today. Great job and a big THANKS to all that helped out.
Remember, volunteering to help today puts you in the drawing for a free race entry!

I would also like to say thank you to all that made it out yesterday. We accomplished more yesterday than I thought we would. We have a little more to do today so if you can make it please do so.
Thanks
Tim
