Hey all,
Rally enthusiast here looking for something to race thats more budget friendly. My Friend and I would like to get in to karting and just need to know where to start. Both of us are in our late 20's, and want to start out in something we can learn in but still be competitive. We are mechanically inclined so we dont mind having to build/assemble. What kind of class/model kart should be looking for? What is pretty much everything a beginner would need? Where should we look to buy? Any info is greatly appreciated. I'd love to be karting with you guys starting next spring.

There are a couple of questions you need to answer before you can start. - What can I afford to spend?
- How fast do I want to go?
As you can imagine the both question are directly influence by each other. I would stay away from buying something online. There are plenty of karts for sale on Craig’s List or, on some of the other clubs websites. You are more than likely going find something that will be ready to race with little or no modifications. Here is an article I found on line. Getting Started.pdf (102.88 KB) Send me an email and I’ll get you the information you are looking for or atleast point you in the right direction.
