The club rules as posted on the website state "All karts are required to have a working transponder. " And leaves it at that. The only ones I'm seeing online will eat up a fair percentage of my startup budget. What model do i need to find. Does the club offer loaner/rental transponders? Any information on this will be appreciated. Thanks

Joe,
The club has about 3 transponders to rent. I believe they are $25 per race. Yes this does eat up your start up budget. You can sometimes find one on eBay or one of the local karting classifieds. The transponder needs to be a AMB Transponder. If you go to mylaps.com the flex transponder is only about $105 for a years subscription. If you like karting then you can purchase a 1, 2 or 3 year upgrade.
